thriftin' thursday

ok. i know i promised another thrifting post awhile back, but better late than never? I have quite a few goodies for ya'll today. some old finds and some as recent as today (the mr. will find this out when he reads this) hehe. i love a good thrift store and honestly would rather have something used than new (most of the time). hopefully this will inspire you to hit up your local thrift store. but stay safe, there is some crazy weather out there.
first up

this pretty little (big) bamboo mirror
i'm seeing some liquid gold leaf
in the near future
next....

a collection of sorts

and another

i've added these to the mr.'s desk

the lamp
previously seen here
now has a shiny (used) lamp shade
i originally planned on changing the color of the shade
but the gold grew on me :)

the mr. and i picked this doorbell frame? up at a flea market awhile back
one day, we'll put it on our house
for now it resides on our coffee table

i am thrilled with these!
i found these at the goodwill down the street
and instantly fell in love!
they both have gorgeous
silk lampshades...

...but considering the lack of space in our apartment
they are currently residing in the back of the mr.'s xterra

and a close up of the detail

last......my pride and joy
haha

bought this about a year ago
for $20!!
yes, still haven't gotten it recovered
but i'm waiting on us to move
and then then make the decision on the fabric

so there you have, my obsession :)

obsession(s) of the week: Florence & The Machine "Lungs" and Water For Elephants

i've been quite taken by them for awhile but this album is blowing my mind. something about her voice is so inspiring. i've heard it's the perfect complement to the movie water for elephants, which the mr. and i will be seeing this week sometime. yes, i'm obsessed with it and haven't seen it yet. but i'm pretty sure that's allowed. if not, in my world it is.

plus, who doesn't love themselves some Reese?
being a southern girl myself
i can't resist any movie she does

sunday morning

typically sunday morning is my rest and re-coup time. this sunday is way more than that, being the Day the He rose from the dead and saved us all.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. -1 Peter 1:3

i attended easter service at my church last nigh,t and since the mr. is part of the worship team at our church, i now have the our little apartment all to my self. ahhhhhhhhhh.

hot tea. good book. good blogs.

heading out to pinopolis for easter dinner with both of our parents this afternoon
have a blessed Easter sunday!
